Description
First of all, Pluto is NOT a planet...It's just that the real name couldn't fit in the title bar
.....Anyways, this is one of the images from my Solar System series: Trans-Neptunian objects... they're all object the size of Pluto that circle around the Sun behind Neptun's orbit... in other words bigger asteroids, or as they're called now Dwarf planets...
You can tell who's Pluto, God of the Dead... the other objects are souls from the Underworld... Maori-style masks with some plasma, or strange "essence" coming out from them...
The ice and fur symbolises that these objects are far from the Sun so the temperatures on them are extremely low...
Again, inked sketch coloured with watercolours.... the ice gave me a lot of trouble
the scanner ruined the colours, and the shrinking killed the details.... also, the original isn't so messy, really
.... Well, I can't say which object will be next, or when will it be done
...I have some ideas for the Sun, Uranus, Mars and the Main Belt asteroids...
Although I'll just stick to some simple and quick stuff now that I'm not home...

this was fun... rather challenging, but fun...
I should post bigger images of some of the details... the shrinking and bad scanning really killed them

well, it is different... you can feel the textures and watercolours... here I added contrast so you can feel the colours... the original is a lto paler, but the details are much more visible and clear...

ah. too bad those "artistic" grade scanners that scan at ULTRA high dpi are also ULTRA expensive :/

the thig I was worried is the contrast between the strong brown/grey tones I used for him and the pale blue and gray I used for the rest of the picture... it sort of looked unfinished

well, it is really bad compared to the original
it is all messed up and blury, with too much contrast that kills the details...

the ice really isn't so faint on the original... but in order to make the colours look good I had to do a lot of processing that unfortunately killed the light shadings of the ice
I'm learning how to draw nice horns slowly
although they are assymetrical... needed that for the composition
