Oh lawd. It's 4h30 am and I have no idea what I should say. I've been procrastinating on this piece for the past 3 or so weeks and I finally managed to finish it by working non-stop since this afternoon.

I'm desperatly trying to achieve a high level of realism but I obviously still have a lot to learn

The woman is sort of a noble warrior kinda thing...hence her unfriendly face, the scratches on her neck piece and the cheek tattoo (it's sort of a clan mark for which I have no actual story, it just seemed right to be there). The jade stone on the tiara was merely intended to fill the space on her forehead but the color is so distracting it turned out to be the element of focus. Whaddaya know.

Oh, and that veil was almost the death of me. I know it's still all wrong. You might have noticed how I put a lot more effort on the left side. I just got to a point where I was like 'meh, screw this, it's fine as it is'. I guess you can tell.

And that tiara looks totally half-assed.

Used PS CS5 and my little faithful Bamboo Fun tablet.

EDIT: I realized that the fact that the lighting on the background was at the same level as the stone was what forced the eyes to look at it. I lowered the light source and now it's fine i guess
