I really, *really* want to figure this out. Terryl Whitlatch (yes, I know I'm doing too much idol worship) gets such kickass results with marker, and two of the artists I really admire, Tom Fowler and Vinod Rams, work traditionally (in watercolor and gouache respectively).

I think the marker colors work just fine. I love the range of colors on her pants. In many ways I prefer traditional to digital in that traditional has more life to it, and maybe those little imperfections contribute.

The male makes for an awesome dwarven rogue; the female, given her pointed ears, I'd ditch her boots (replacing them with largish, hair-topped feet) and sell her as a hobbit-esque halfling. Of course, I love such halflings, so my view is more than a little biased.

The colors aren't bad at all (far better than I could do with markers or a computer-- thank goodness I take gallbladders out for a living), but the lines are great. I think body proportions for dwarves/gnomes/halflings are something that few artists on here do well. You, though, certainly pulled it off nicely.

Thanks! I've been trying to make a few improvements lately and I really hope it shows!
