Happy birthday Mike.I love you with all of my heart and I cannot stress that enough. You saved me. If i'm ever sad, I resort to funny moments of you and it always makes me feel better. Even though you may not personally know me, you're still one of my best friends. And I will cherish that forever. You're honestly a huge inspiration to me, my brother, my dad and other friends. Even if they don't know a lot about you they still think you're a bom a** guy. Your art work is truly amazing, when I was drawing this I realized how unique your art is. (music, personal art etc+) But I really just want to say, Thank you. Thank you for all the good memories you brought to me this past year. I really do appreciate it. You're an amazing person, and so many people look up to you. Even though you may never see this, thank you, and please remember that.

Aw thank you! Once I made this, I kinda feel like he looks like a moody teenager a bit because of the face expression. But its fine though! It personally makes it look more sweet and funny, aha.

Nope.. They trolled him by mocking his inability to touch his shoulders (everyone took a photo of themselves touching their shoulders) and every fan on Twitter joined the "fun" with hashtag "ShouldersUntouched" and tagged him to make it a "birthday gift"....
And Mike came just to thank everyone and wish us an amazing day. I feel so bad for this guy and love and admire him so much, seriously....

Yes, I'm sure he saw those tweets, because even Ambassadors supported it (and Mike follows them). I'm utterly disgusted of how this fanbase treats him and I'm nothing but an outsider in it. And they do things like that every day (except they don't usually tag him)... I stand by logic "every fun should have boundaries" and with Mike fans, fun crosses the line in everything they do to him... They compare their trolling tactics to Mike's.. Like seriously??

Well, except for you and , I can't see any other Mike fan (at least on Twitter) who doesn't love to mock him. Those roasting tweets about Mike are literally all over my timeline every day and I see many people give likes, retweets, or join them. It's simply a routine thing of LP fanbase to tease Mike with the excuse that "he loves it and he trolls us too". Literally no one stands up for him. I seem to be the only one who is bothered by that. I desperately try to find there some respectful Mike fans who are only nice to him, but I feel hopeless...

I really hate putting Mike down on his birthday, even if its just 'fun and games'. It just really doesn't feel right and respectful to me. Again this community is confusing and disrespectful. Thank you though, i'm so glad I have both of yall too. Makes me feel very accepted and loved.

Yes and especially on his birthday that's supposed to be a special day of love and appreciation. And what's worst, they even tried to talk Dave into it. I'm glad he (obviously) didn't hear them.
This community's goal is to help end the stigma of mental health and lift each other up, but Mike is like some exceptional person who they treat the opposite way most of time. And they deny they disrespect him in any way because they believe he loves it, though I've never heard him say so and which sounds ridiculous (who the heck would love to be mocked all the time? Even if in a "good"). I'm just left in confusion and pain of what I see all the time.

Yikes! I would've lost it if Dave did it. I love Mike to death and I wish more people would appreciate him like we do. I really wish that Mike didn't just 'let it go' and let them get away with it. It really sucks. Its his special day and they don't have the right to ruin it, nor mock him on it. Anytime isn't the time to mock him, or anyone at this matter.

Exactly. Well, you probably won't like me for saying that, but as much as I love Dave and all LP guys, I saw even them trolling Mike in a really not nice ways that are on the level of what fans do (I could name several cases, of which some situations even endangered him and they still laughed and acted cool about it, which disappointed me). So I can't even be 100% sure Dave would refuse to join if he saw their pleading (though I deeply hope he wouldn't be this mean on Mike's birthday). He just didn't appear on Twitter today. I do admit Mike is a troll too, but at least I personally haven't seen him crossing a line with his trolling yet (most of time, his trolling consists of saying stupid or funny things and wannabe slight "april fools" jokes), unlike those who troll him (I'm constantly waiting to be proven wrong). But he's constantly tolerant and nice to people trolling him whatever ways. That's one of the reasons he's my favorite and why I feel so bad and protective over him. He, as the only one of the band has the titul "troll/ trollnoda", when in a fact, he's more an actual victim of trolling than an actual cause at this point. It's literally "hundreds against one" every day because no one is ever "on his side", just against him in their games and already that's where it crosses the line.
Sorry for the rant, I felt I need to get it out of myself... I understand if you're angry and I'm so sorry.

Nononononono! Its perfectly fine if you rant! I completely understand and see where you're coming from about this. It really stinks that everyone treats him badly. Its not fair. Mike hasn't been 'pranking' or 'trolling' for awhile, in fact I haven't seen him do much this past year. So its really set off to being unfair. If you need to get anything off your chest about the community, i'm here! And i'm willing to hear you out on what you're thinking. I'm only truly angry about the whole fandom thing for today. Other than that i'm not very angry, and not at you! I never get angry at Tortive, or you in that matter. But again, if you want to get anything off your chest and are afraid i'll get offended/insulted/angry over it, trust me I wont. Good point though.

Well, right now I feel conflicted, because it turned out he liked this "gift" of trolling afterall.... And Anna joined too... That doesn't change my mind about anything, though. I will always consider those things disresprectful and I can only admire Mike he's not bothered by them at all and actually supports people to treat him that way (it only makes me want to surround him with love 3000 times more).. It's one of the things I'll never be able to understand and swallow and which will constantly trigger me. I'm sorry, it's really impossible to me to feel different way.

It breaks my heart that Anna joined in. I honestly feel the same way. I feel so bad for him, and wish he would be treated better. But he wont meet us anytime soon to get the chance to be treated differently, (in a good way). I understand that their are good trolls, but this one was honestly awful. Mocking a disability. I'm glad its over though. I'm also happy that there were people on twitter getting offended and upset that people were letting this slide. Its childish.

Exactly, this was too much and not normal. What bothers me so much is that the others are never trolled despite they're trolls too (which obviously no one realizes) and they get nothing but real love and appreciation, especially on their birthdays, while Mike specifically gets only mean trolling most of time, including special days. I can't understand this behavior. I simply disagree Mike is the biggest troll. He's by far not as bad as those who troll him. He's always nice to fans. Even in times the line was truly crossed and he should define the line for people's behavior towards him. But instead, he shocks us by praising it. But it's not only about him, but this kind of behavior, like mocking a disability (even if just an insignificant one) simply adds to the stigma. No matter the intention. Even if they mean well, this simply isn't an exemplary behavior in relation to stigma (I notice they don't even see it as a disability, just "something he can't do among everything he can", so they don't realize mocking it is wrong). They can't realize how far they go with their jokes of Mike. It's just sad. And the fact Mike and Anna support it saddens me even more. I still hope there will come time when Mike realizes the seriousness of it and will try to stop it.
Well, I found only one person on Twitter who found it offensive a day before the birthday (this whole thing was planned for a month). Everyone supported or joined it.
I was thinking, why they can't do something meaningful for Mike's birthday, something that helps a good thing, just like on Chester's birthdays? Instead of stupid trolling thing. It's like people think Mike doesn't stand for anything good unlike Chester and doesn't deserve a meaningful birthdays. That's another thing that breaks me, the way how differently they treat those two.
