Yes! Finished the first illustration for Akosius!
As you can probably already tell, this will be the general "Akosius style". The backgrounds will be minimal, and really only leading you on to another story line, or giving you something else to focus on. As you can see, in the background, you've got the outline of mountains, and then some scragaly trees, and ohh--what're those silhouettes of? Rothum! Remember the Rothum? If not, I'll be posting plenty more of them, so keep a look out.

Meet Adaleisa Marlow, Queen of the Revior Nation. She's a bad ass, as you can see. She carries a bow and arrow, a sword made of natural metals, with a 'hand cover' (I guess) made of snail shell. She wears a leather corset, which actually functions as her armor. Hers, naturally, is the fanciest, because she's queen. She also has one earring in her left ear, and it's made of the same metal that her sword is. Oh, and she has a dagger--but you can't see it here.

So, you're probably saying, "Holy crap! She looks like a giant guinea pig! WTF?!"
That's probably because she is. Well, a subspecies; the Reviorian. Which, as you thought, is basically a giant guinea pig that walks on two legs. So that also means they're highly advanced; but particularly in the means of craftiness and warfare. They're vicious little buggers, when provoked. Reviorians are one of the most primitive species on Akosius, having floated over on fallen trees and other things before Akosius was an official island. From there, they grew and molded with their environment, evolving into what you see now; a two-foot tall guinea pig, more or less.
Although the the guinea pig and the Reviorian are similar, they're actual genetic makeup is quite different. As you can see, Adaleisa's markings are actually more like those of a cheetah's (although she is a deep gray, and the spots/marks/stripes are more of a charred color), helping her to better camouflage herself in the grasslands of Akosius. Not all Reviorians are like this, though. Some are plain colors; bays, chestnuts, blondes, etc. "Aguti" is a common guinea pig color, and therefore is their most prominent link (aside from their chubby asses, hah) to their cavy relatives. Aguti is a rare and desired color in the Reviorian Nation.
