If you follow my instagram you'll have seen a few Dresden sketches. I wanted this one to be a full painting but I don't have time to give it that treatment. This is just the concept sketch with a ton of lighting effects (which are the really fun part anyway). I've really enjoyed reading these books all year.Photoshop CC + IntuosPro, 5 hours, based on Jim Butcher's Dresden Files novels.

The books call them 'sigils and runes' ... or as the audiobook reader guy says for the first three books, "sig-els and ruins."

oh the reader doesn't have an accent, he just doesn't know random words. Like "ochre." He really does improve after the third book for some reason though. Maybe he bought a dictionary.
