Description But the consequences of everything
Weigh down on us, unforeseen
As the balance of what we're becoming
Tips out of favor from what we've been

Our lives are not ours alone
But a compilation of everything
All tangible and profound in one
Which endures even as we are crumbling

The day dawns time and time again
And the sun sets in its turn
But when our eyes are closed do we even flinch
As the sky above us burns?

There is no time or place for this
Except the one we create
The lives of others are formed as we live
The wake of our actions deemed fate.

Wasn't The Butterfly Effect was it?

This poem is the kind where you really have to read between the lines. I particularly like the line about the sky above us burning - it reminds me that humans can commit atrocity and not realise that it's even going on.

Haha I didn't think of that, but that's kind of the same thing I guess...I've actually never seen the movie though! The one I watched was called "Shall We Kiss?", it was really strange.

Thank you for taking the time to read my stuff (: It makes me think of both the horrible and the just plain thoughtless small things that people do. Without even really realizing it, like you said.
