Description
These are my own designs of one of my favorite creatures from the Wizarding world of Harry Potter: The Thunderbird.

What fascinates me about this creature is that I think this is what a modern dinosaur would look like - the size proportion is comparable to a medium-sized theropod, plus it has a tail (reminiscent of it's dinosaur ancestry).

It's fascinating for me to remember that dragons and other fantastical creatures were one of my biggest fascinations when I was a teenager, and yes I was big into Harry Potter and How to train your Dragon.

The thing that draws me to these creatures is that in a way, they remind me of Dinosaurs. They're either prehistoric or prehistoric-looking and they ruled the Earth since the dawn of time. And to me, studying mythical creatures is no different from Paleontology. That's the beauty of it.
