Description
In the chaos of a stampede, two Saurornitholestes use the chance to hunt down a single Stegoceras who lost the safety of its herd.

This scene happens 76 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous in what is now North America. Both dinosaur species were found in the Dinosaur Park Formation in Alberta, Kanada.
Saurornitholestes belongs to the dromaeosaurids, which were mostly small and medium sized carnivores with typcial sickle claws on their second toe, commonly known as "raptors". Saurornitholestes was a long-legged, swift and agile predator, using its wings and tail to help it maneuver during its hunts and pinning down prey with its claws. It could reach a length of around 1.8 m (6 ft). As close relatives to modern birds, probably all dromaeosaurids were feathered.
Stegoceras is a pachycephalosaurid, a family of herbivores and/or omnivores which are known for their thick skull adorned with bumps or spikes, which they probably used for combat (although this view has been debated). It could probably reach a length of around 2 m (7 ft).
