Description Chaiwatnaram temple is one of important temples in Ayudhaya, Thailand. Ayudhaya was the capital of Thailand from 15th to 18th century. Because of that, Ayudhaya has a large number of temples. History is written that all temples were coated with gold. But gold was later melted and carried away during the invasion; revealing bricks underneath. I cannot confirm this though, since there's still some debates going on.
