i love this - love a lot of things in your gallery, too; most of all for the way you use colours.

as a thumb, i interpreted 'stubbon' in the context of the picture as meaning 'resliant'. it looked for all purposes just like a tree at the edge of a huge ocean, damaged but defiant against what must have been years of fierce elements.
however on fullview i realise my interpretation was misguided. the tree is clearly walking to the see with the intent of suicidal confrontation. it defies our expectations of the tree by willing its own death. in this defiance it is stubborn.
