Thank you sunflowerqt who suggested a scene when Steven first tries to ask Connie out on a date!

Okay, uh, so, how these two had been hanging out canonically (before they got the super official romantic partner label) had been reminiscent of people going out on dates.Given that, I'd imagine when they do go out with dating in mind is (1), the date would be REALLY smaltzy because the standard dates stuff is literally just equivalent to them just casually hanging out.; or (2), they'd go on a normal date (like going out to see a movie, or eating at a restaurant, or going out for a late night dance, etc.) later realizing it's just the normal things they do together. Originally I was going to draw the latter. But... I just thought is was funnier.

They're on the beach house's balcony....Supposedly. I kinda drew the chairs and the table out of wrong memory so they could be set up somewhere else too.
