yes, that is a dragonfly right there because it got caught by one of our cats (a young one) and died from it's injuries and I just love those dragonflies, they're so cool, so I kept it and I thought as it's body is about at least 5cm long (sry, google how many inches that is pls, I have no idea and am too tired to do it sryyyy) I'd just use it to show the size of this portrait better - which I entirely did while I was at school and teachers+pupils were staring at me as I just pulled my ink art supplies outta my bag and started using them.I am not currently going to an arts school.
but I love to relax while listening to teachers (of couse) with drawing; if I had not done it today I would've fallen asleep and that would've been worse I guess.
I'm so sleepy

awesome, very nice details! those ears immediately got my attention, for you don't see such big ones on dragons that often. together with the nose and intense eyes, it makes for a unique design of a dragon. good job!

Ja, ich mag es eig auch ganz gerne, aber ich weiß nicht so recht, wenn man so viel von der Farbe sieht, fängt es iwie an, mich zu stören... entweder muss ich da sparsamer sein oder es mit Schwarz mischen...

I love the details on the dragon, it looks like a hybrid of a dragon and a bat which makes it twice as cool as a normal dragon.

Yah I still need to find something that works for this huge insect...
Sad thing is it looked so incredibly colourful when it was still alive but now all the colour faded and I only have pictures of them when sun was shining on it. I first wanted to do a painting of it but idk if my photos were that "good" for that purpose haha^^

have you tried googling images of them? There has to be some nature blog with shots of the ones from your specific region.
I did the same when I wanted to identify the bats that kept coming into my back porch to prove to my parent's they weren't dangerous.
