Dang! I got too many Skyrim characters now D: most of them are females...
I named her Embla, because I ran out of good Nord names. This character however does not exist in the same universe like Shivani and the others you have met. (Blisterwort, Sinead and many others)
In this alternative universe there is no Dragonborn to defeat Alduin, because that bloodline died with Martin Septim during the Oblvion Crisis. Which prevented the profecy on Alduins Wall to be fullfilled and the world is to be devoured. This is where Embla comes in. Instead of laying down and accepting her doom, she set off to defeat Alduin herself.
The world itself is much darker than what you experience in the game and for Embla who's not born with a dragon soul, it's almost impossible for her to learn Shouts, which are essential to fight Alduin.

.......Seriously, I could make a friking fan fic of her story if I weren't so bad at writing and lazy.
I also imagine that Talos himself intervene, goes into a humanform to defeat Alduin when Embla does it before him and he goes: wait?....What? SHE STOLE MY JOB! I became mortal for nothing....
(i think there's a fanfic about Talos turning into a mortal)

So basically her objective is to use the shouts, vampire blood and years of training to become the most powerful being in all of Skyrim?
Sounds like the story of every RPG I've ever played: Get more powerful: Defeat Bad Guy.

Well, the Dragonborn isn't a bloodline, it's a special person chosen by Akatosh, and it's still possible to learn Shouts, but exceedingly difficult...I still love the idea and her design, though! XD

I know, but I thought it would make sense if Martin was the last Dragonborn and the reason why it wasn't a dragonborn who defeated Alduin. The idea itself is quite interesting, because that would change everything in the storyline, don't you think?
And the part that learning shouts is difficult for non-dragonborns, and that they permantly kill dragons, fits very well to Embla. She is headstrong and an impatient person.
Though, I consider giving her the ability to learn shouts from the Word Walls, but unable to use them. If you understand what I mean. And also being dysletic, but able to read and understand the dragon language and writing. Is that too much or?

I don't think Martin was even Dragonborn...Well, anyway, it can be easily resolved by just saying that Akatosh didn't feel like choosing a Dragonborn.
But yeah, it would definitely change the storyline drastically.
Hmm, that would be really interesting. I like both of those ideas.
The part with her learning Shouts but unable to use them makes sense; anyone can learn the words, but it takes years of training to master the meaning. The Dragonborn, on the other hand, can just absorb souls from dead dragons and use their knowledge to master the words.

He was called a Dragonborn during Oblivion, but seriously, I don't know. I don't think Akatosh would want his son to destroy the world before its time...or maybe it was the end? Going againts a gods will?....awesome
Yes, I think that is enough challenge for Embla, without being completely impossible for her. (and I don't want her to be a mary sue, learning shouts by the minute and all that crap)
I image her spending days, almost without food and water, meditating on shouts. (which also demands alot of patience, which Embla lacks quite a bit og her stubbornes might help her with that. I'm not sure yet)
On the other hand, if she existed in Shivani's universe, Embla will be her drinking buddy, partying with Sanguine. XD hahahaha The age of extraordinary ladies

He didn't absorb a dragon soul to awaken his power, maybe that's the reason? One can always wonder.
Been pondering on her background and personality for a while now, but so many personalities and pasts are over-used and cheesy. So I have decided to give her a very bouncy personality, with small portion with sassy and doesn't mind showing that she can be very creepy. Like being a scavenger and a small obsession with ropes.
Yes, Embla and Shivani on their drunken adventure. Shivani waking up from sleeping on the Talos statue in Whiterun, wearing only Ulfric's clothes. Then there is Embla who also woke up into an awkward situation with Harkon (which includes ropes) and almost got caught when she fled the Castle.

It's hard work, but it's worth the while and you won't get a mary sue. Hopefully.
