The evolved form of Male Guffawing.

Once fully grown, these Pokemon are able to hold their own in battle, which in turn allows their more devious nature to take over. Natural bullies, they will use their strength, size, and tail to intimidate any who try standing up to their acts of mockery. Male Sardonicaw are known to be the more aggressive of the two from the start and have the more confrontational personality but are the weaker of the two Sardonicaw when it comes to straight-up combat.

So I took the Pikipek line approach with these guys. Mockingbirds and Lyre birds are related in the same capacity that woodpeckers and toucans are, so that's what I did. Big tailfeather birds are really fun designs. Thing is, EVERY lyrebird fakemon I saw was a lyre. Cool instrument but it's been done so many times now that I wanted to avoid it like the plague. Connecting it to the mocking bird allowed for me to lean into the dark type with these designs, and that, I felt, gave me a lot more freedom with how to handle this pokemon. Big scary face for tailfeathers so that it can intimidate and laugh at those who are scared by it, a cool hunched over pose for the male and a haughty laughter for the female. I was able to pump so much personality into these birds and I'm super happy with them.
