Description I love these guys! We used to catch them with bits of sausages and leftover pepperoni in creeks during the summer. The specimen I used was bought in a grocery store, and I guess that's why his claws are so measly. The crawdads I remember catching had big, lobster-like pinchers. I wish I knew where they farmed him.

I have a question why the inking was done with dots mostly. I keep seeing this in illustrations and have no idea.

Stippling seems to be a really popular technique for illustrators. I guess they like it so much because it's an easy way to keep detail and midtones. When it's finished, it looks very accurate and clean.


I did it that way because it was an assignment.
