Drew this back when the first official art and pictures ofDream Drop Distance came out, just the whole shock of
Riku's new look really made me do it, I thought I'd kinda
get used to it faster if I drew him....

When I saw that for the first time just moments ago I thought that it might be original art which says a lot about the greatness of your drawing style 
And about the pants: Not really something to complain about (aside from the beginning of the left pant leg), nice coloring, nice shading and that's it

omg, is this REALLY how Riku looks?!?! i mean, yeah, i still love and adore him, BUT THAT HAIR!!! IT LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE JUST GRABBED A HANDFUL AND SLICED IT OFF!!! maybe im just stuck in the past, i dont know... 
BUT DONT FORGET I LOVE ITTTT!! the jeans keep grabbing my attention, in a good way. i really like the shading of them, it looks very well rendered :]

Well yes, I reacted that way too, months ago when the first pictures came out...but then I played the game, and his WHOLE friggin personality has shifted so much that I think his hair is very fitting now, to the more good, nice and happier Riku~!! That gloomy hair fitted his angsty version

lolol, i dont call that hair gloomy!! he could have trimmed it, sure, but they just LOPPED IT OFFFF!!! ;-; xD i will get used to it, when i play the game we shall see how this conversation turns.
and you are welcome!! i agree, i find i draw much better people nude (from my figure drawing classes at school) as opposed to clothed... i mean, if you think about it, you have to deal with draping and how the cloth hangs on the body as well as the motion. IT GETS COMPLICATED >_<;;;

and i dont really care about having nude drawings everywhere - both of my figure drawing classes that focused on people specifically always made them nude, so my sketchbooks from those classes, as well as giant pads of paper, are full of nude people. it doesnt faze me, and i think, if people ask and i show them, if they get offended, then its their fault for being nosy xD but yeahhh... pants... grr....
and i dont mind, sometimes it just amazes me all over again!! lol, its not like im trying to suck up to you or anything, i just really like your work :] half the time i do it without realizing it! and i think its part of my subconscious... can i tell you a secret? (although, since im posting it on dA, it wont be a secret, yet it will, since the people im talking about arent gonna look here xD) i have this thing about making sure everyone around me is happy and confident - i always look for positive comments to make because i believe that everyone needs that positive support from people. and i think part of the reason why i do this is because the people i want to support me the most dont really care about what i do... or, at least i perceive it that way. my parents, who are always there to support me, tend to kind of just shrug off or not care when i make new art, and that really makes me sad. its like, i tried so hard tonight to draw a picture, and i just get this plain "cool" from my mom... MY MOM! not some random teenager who may have that limited vocabulary, but my mom. and im not saying i want a full out critique, but she can at least say "oh, i like that" or "you have gotten better" or something besides the same response i always get! heh, you talk about you being selfish... i believe thats selfish of myself :/ then again, im trying hard to do things for myself and not care about what other think. thats my current goal

I didn't mean their offensive, it's actually quite the joke between people in Europe how Americans always seem to have such problems with nudity, like censoring movies, wtf...? Everyone is born naked and everyone's seen even their parents, relatives and friends naked at some point o what's the big deal..?? x'DD I meant that it can be very boring to have just a million nude people just changing their position in a million drawings, hair, clothes and other items bring much more interesting things into drawings, more things to look at, or colors, there's only so many colors you can use on a plain body

hahaha, i see!! yeah, i agree, its weird that we have this issue with nudity, then again, i guess i have issues with it in relation to small kids. i mean, its not that i believe that we need to shelter kids from facts of life, but at the same time, i dont want them to have naked bodies thrown at them all the time xD ehh, im kind of in the middle, as with most things there are debates about. im not really an extremist.

YOU GIVE SUCH GREAT ADVICE, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! i actually never thought of it that way, that maybe its more of a way to keep me focused and not get my head to high in the clouds. when i look at it that way, it makes a lot of sense and it really takes stress off of me... because even if its not the reason (i will never know, haha), its a good thing to think to keep me going strong. but really, im going to try to just do this for me and not care about what others think. i mean, thats the whole reason why i started drawing anyway. i dont wanna lose my way. thank you thank you thank yoooooou sooooo much

Maybe we have just a real chill wibe about it, since you guys seem to always connect nudity into something sexual or something, but to us it's just the natural state of people and nothing to hide :'D Like, you know what a sauna is? Well in public sauna's for example people are full on nude with strangers, and it doesn't bother anyone

hmmm, true, that makes sense. ive been at a sauna before too, and it was pretty chill there - no one cared about anyone else. it really just depends on the crowd you are in i guess. i dont care so much about other people, i just dont feel comfortable about the way i look, so i dont want to subject others to it... >_>;;;
i just dont know what else to say, im just so happy. because of that confidence boost, ive drawn a few new things lately

It's really not, if you keep it going for a couple of weeks, it will just start coming naturally ;D I got sick of being in a bit of a bad shape just about a little over a month ago, and started working out the way I once used to, and now I feel great, I have the stamina to run and climb and do everything with out huffing and puffing again~!

haha, im assuming senior years do that, though ive been told that usually senior year is the most relaxing... but i think it depends on the school/country. i dont think im gonna be relaxed at all xD
and its interesting, i think id rather work, because then 1. id get money, 2. depending on the type of work, id get no "homework" (unless its a job involving something artistic, and i need to work extra at home), so i can do more things i wanna do. the only down side is, with working, there are more responsibilities and you cant just be that "student" anymore :/ i will be experiencing this next year... oh gawd...

Not to us it ain't, everything we've ever had to learn has all leaned onto this, this is THE year when everything has to go perfect, there's not going to be anywhere near as much pressure in an university later on, but this year will be and already kinda has been a nightmare, but it's the shortest of all my school years so I just have to squeeze through this one and I'm done~!!
The times I've been at a job as an intern, I've almost lost my mind, having to do something really simple just physical labour practically, it is soooo boring that I feel like going insane X_x Made me kind of respect school a bit more, even though it can be tiring, at least it gives me the amount of thinking and stimulation I need, I need to be challenged :'D To me that's the only thing I like about work, that I can actually run something etc. I kinda take hold of the leaders position at school too if we have a group project
