OK, this is from my Chibi Cuteness picture. Two people so far have mentioned an interest in having a Kenshin Chibi for themselves (Kaoru free) cause they wanted to be the ones getting the flower. So I figured, why not? It is just a chibi... a really cute one. ^^x So I am putting up the picture of Kenshin, without Kaoru and without the background. You are free to take him off the gray and paste him on a picture of your choice. One requirement: make sure you don't take credit for the chibi Kenshin. I don't need you to say you got it from me, just saying that it isn't yours in enough. Of course, if you give me credit that is better. ^^x

How to cut and paste Kenshin using photoshop

Open photoshop.

Look at the tool bar next to the picture and find the dropper. It is low on the tool bar, just above the color selecting box. Select that dropper. (click on it)

Take the mouse cursor over to the gray and click on it.

You will see that the color in the color selection box will become that gray. You have selected the gray.

Go to the top tool bar running along the top of the screen and find the word, "select" Click on it.

Scroll down to "color select" and click.

A box will pop up with a silhouetted image... or a black and white image of Kenshin. Below the picture is a bar with a sliding cursor on it.

Click on the sliding cursor and move it up and down to see how the image changes.

You want the image to show a near silhouette of Kenshin, where some details show but almost none, and the remaining shape a clear outline of him and his shadow.

Click Ok.

You have now selected all the gray, but you want Kenshin.

Go to "select" again, and click.

Scroll down to "invert" and click.

Now you have selected Kenshin.

Go to "edit" in the top tool bar, and click, scroll down to "copy" and click.

Open the picture you want to put him on, and click paste.

You have successfully put him on your own picture. but there are some problems.

Some of the background is showing through. He is on a separate layer. He might be the wrong size!

To fix the background showing through, click on the bottom layer.

You should still have the gray you selected before.

Look on the side tool bar for the paint brush, sort of toward the middle. Click on it.

Now you have a brush tool. Paint ont eh background layer under Kenshin where the background is showing through with the gray color.

how to change the size

You can do this before you cut and paste him or after. If you want to change his size before, this is what to do.

Go to the top tool bar and click on the word, "image."

Scroll down to the words, "Image Size" and click.

A box will open with dimensions. Write in a smaller number in one of the boxes. The other should automatically change. If you want to make him bigger, do the opposite. Write in a bigger number.

Click OK.

To change after you have cut and paste, go to the word, "edit" and click. (top tool bar.)

Scroll down to the words, "free transform" near the bottom, and click.

Your picture will be surrounded by a bow. Grab the corners and edges of the box by clicking on them and holding while you move the mouse.

Shrink the box and you shrink Kenshin. Make the box bigger and you make him bigger.
how to flatten the image

Look on the top tool bar again and find the word, "layer." click on it.

Scroll down to the bottom where it says, "flatten image" and click.

Now the picture is done.
