Entering the contest now : D here's the template, hopefully it's good improvement.. it's... 6 years anyway. Whoa.Somehow I feel like I would have expected more improvement for 6 long years... but oh well.
I also tried using the very same media and tools I used back then, even some of the same pencils too.

Well, this proves that you've been at maximum level for awhile. Small variances don't change a thing.

The old one is pretty simple. Girl sits on rock, eats fruit. One sole fruit hangs above her head, drawing attention up. Rock with face draws attention down. Not much going on in the background.
Then you've got the new one. This has the girl in an interesting pose, smelling the fruit perhaps instead of just nomming it. There is more shine in the dress, and the hair running down the front draws more attention to Mr. Rock. The tree trunks from the ground curve up from the ground, bringing the eye up to see the other background trees and the fruit hanging above the girl, who we focus back on.
The new one is a massive improvement over the old one. Yes while the old seems less human in a less human-like world, the new one has a new degree of elegance, and the format is far better.

I like the old one better, just because her expression seems more interesting to me. She seems more human, less perfect and elegant. The old girl has a tummy on her, some messy, wispy hair, and you were less shy with the shading it seems. Your technical skills with the materials have improved, but I just like the personality of the older one better

This reminds me of a darker version of the nina ricci fantasy perfume advert, I don't know if you've seen it or not... I like the drawing style and the shiny apples, yum!

Beautiful! Its a shame you can't see the whole frames on either of them though, I think the foot over the border on the first one and the oval shape on the second make them even better!

I've had your old version in my inspiration file since you first put it up. It (and a lot of the work you did back then) has been inspiring me and educating me for years. So I think I'm just too biased by my love of the old to accept the new! It's great and all, but there is something so COMFORTABLE about the pose and composition and feeling in the old one that the new one doesn't have and I really like that feeling of peace with herself and the world the old one has. The new one is beautiful and I absolutely love how pretty it is, but the slouchy, slightly tired/calm of the first is my favorite.

It seems the after is cleaner and has a different feel to it not saying you havent improved but I like them both equally for different reasons

Believe it or not there's a really huge style change here. I love the new one, the composition is very eye catching. The way you set everything up your eyes can move through the drawing and there's always something there. This is really neat to see <3

Well, I think both of the pictures look good, but I wouldn't say the second one is better than the first. Just somewhat different. Different pose, different angle.
I like the pose in the new picture better, but I prefer the background in the old drawing.
Well, there's six years between each picture, therefore I would have expected a bigger improvement. But that's just my opinion c:

But thank you for taking the time to comment and elaborate, it's very appreciated. I see what you mean, and it's true, after all, it could have been better if I tried using the same pose, angle, expression and such, for comparison purposes. And, as myself, I am a little bit dissapointed too seeing that for 6 years it's not a huge improvement, but oh well, I think that can still be fixed : P

Yo andaba con ganas de participar y caché que mis dibujos más antiguos de mis dos cuentas con del año pasado 8 D -fail- sería autopatear a mi yo cercana.

Yo creo que sí... al cambiarle la pose y la expresión, como que (como algunos dijeron) cambió el ánimo o lo que expresa el dibujo.... como que con eso ya se pierde algo...
Y fffuu-- pero... rayos, sip DA te pide que tengas el otro en tu galería.. pero... y subirlo igual? creo que había una pequeña restricción con las fechas pero era cosa de un par de días no más o_o. ... podrías intentarlo : D sería cool cuánto te autopateas (?)

I actually prefer the older one. Something about the style..its uniqueness.. somehow that was lost in the new one. I suppose that's individual taste..i like the imperfection
