I made it out of stencil plastic, silver vinal, craft foam sheets, and lots and lots of ultra super glue!! plus various buttons, oh yea and silver spray paint. Very cheap materials. [link] that is the website I based it off of. Changed the upper arm plates (to look more real, the one in this tutorial did not look very good

no problem! You would not believe the amount of compliments I got on that arm, one vendor guy even followed me out of the dealers room to get my secret!

haa hah hah I bet you did, especially how well it came out. My dad and friends are going to be helping me when I get the stuff. I'll take pics when Iget it done so then maybe you could see how well I did it...or not well since I am not that good at making things. Most likely I am going to get glomped by a bunch of my friends though now XD

thats the pattern site. download print and then draw a size on paper which will fit your arm/hand

no problem. I retired my automail arm so I would love to see someone else doing it as I did. (also the arm grill is a great place to get signatures! I got ed & roy's VA sigs on there

yesh, this is my first attempt of actually trying to cosplay for once and I am trying to make it count

when your making it just let me know if ya need any help or something. (it requires a lot of self measuring lol!) just an fyi first make the pattern with paper that way you can adjust it or draw where it needs to be on you arm. Have you looked at my other photos of the automail? some of it is a little more detailed than that picture.

Sure thing (the self measuring reminds me of my drumline uniform lol). I am going to draw it out on paper first since hat will be a basic layout for me and my dad. I was just about to do that actually.

yes I did wait in line! for like 3 hours! and I STILL didnt get it..but luckily for me He was at CT-con which was a couple days before otakon and I got his sig on my automail arm then :] and I got to have dinner with him and arron along with other rangers on sat, so all was good! lol

I know, right!? I was so glad Vic stayed longer to make sure (almost) everyone got a chance to meet him and stuff... I finally got to get him to autograph a picture I drew of Ed (in my gallery) after hours of waiting... but it was well worth it. The only thing that stinks is, that day, I wasn't in my Ed cosplay. *feels stupid* >o<"
