This is one of my favorites now! Great use of black and white as it works wonderfully with Meli's makeup and stripped tights. The Black Cross in the corner is a perfect balance for the seated figure! Everything is quite perfect here!

Thank you Làilà. This was taken in front of a crypt in the biggest and oldest Montreal cemetary (and most beautiful too), I remember we were lucky with this, as I liked the look of this decayed paint on this old door. But the next summer as we returned over there, everything was freshly re-painted and it wouldn't had turned as well for the shot, so timing was perfect for once.

Montreal would have better cemeteries than say Toronto! There was a beautiful one in Savannah that was very French looking as well, Bonaventure(nice name, n'est-ce pas?).
Why would someone repaint it!? The horror of it! I'm glad you were able to get the decay of the scene before it was ruined! Which cemetery was it? Have you been to Notre-Dame-des-Neiges?

Wow! I wonder how you can know about it, that's exactly where this was shot, in Notre-Dame-des-Neiges! You're just impressive!
I've never been to Toronto so I wouldn't know, you have been there?

Wow, that was a good guess! I was just thinking which cemetery I would shoot in if I lived in you area. That one is famous!
I haven't been to Toronto, but I've seen some photos, and to me it has a more modern feel while the French-speaking areas retain an old world quality.
Like the cemetery where you shot this!
