No matter where you stand in politics we can agree that net neutrality is very important. The problem about the destruction for net neutrality is that a lot of people not just the people, but business, and media rely on the Internet for everyday usage. If big corporations take power, they basically control who deserves internet if they be willing to "suck their dicks".
The only reason why Ajit Pai is doing this is because the moment net neutrality is gone, he's going to quit being chairman of the FCC and go back to working with Verizon to get in on that enormous revenue.

I like it now, now that the internet is unregulated like it once was. Wasn't it you nervous nellies who wanted government to keep a hands-off when it came to the 'net? Now it's reverted back to the way it was before the tender mercies of the government.

So, didn't Obama sign a bill to protect the net? Now the FCC wants to change it? Say what you will about the internet - if this law passes we are ALL in trouble and we'll end up like China or Russia - massive censorship! I've actually given money to Mozilla to help the cause, they were one of the first out there to advocate for net neutrality.

I think anyone who lets someone or something else formulate political views for them needs some serious help no matter where said views come from. While I do believe that many of the independent news sources on Youtube are far more trustworthy than mainstream news out of the West, I think it is important to get news from a variety of different sources so to prevent oneself from becoming encased in their own political echo-chamber.

Sorry, I've become so accustomed to seeing very poor anti-net neutrality arguments on various websites that I have defaulted to assuming that any person saying that we can trust Comcast and friends not to violate consumer protection laws is in their pocket(s). I hadn't looked into the links you provided, and if I find that the arguments make sense or cannot be abused by corporate executives in order to circumvent consumer protection and 1st Amendment rights, then please forgive me.

I would support the preservation of Net Neutrality, but I fail to see why the internet is worth saving. Thanks to the political exetremism of meme culture, no one can form an opinion without getting dogpiled by the anti-social and the anti-intellectual. It doesn’t matter if what you say is right or wrong, just be bigoted and proud.

The internet is the world's greatest source of knowledge, good and bad. There is probably just as much information on it as in all the libraries of the world, if not more.

VelvetKevorkian333 In reply to Bubsby [2017-12-12 05:40:49 +0000 UTC]
I agree. It's like a giant cyber library full of knowledge and things to learn, But as with any public forum, there are always going to be assholes who just use it to troll, spread misinformation and act like idiots in general. But like the First Amendment, its a small price to pay for the freedom of doing so. dA is exactly the kind of site that will be blocked if the FCC gets their way so if you don't think its important or is going to affect you, think again.
