I feel like I do that a lot when I go to the desert( Palm Springs) or traveling in general... it's completely off line and I love it.
But when I'm home, I'm usually pretty connected during the day!

People gathered together into villages, towns and then cities to help each-other, to make life easier because it's better to split tasks and cover for each-other. And now they suffer because they hate each-other and never help or plainly harm. Well, police, ambulance, much work - these are the reasons you live in a city, not obstacles. You can always go live 200 miles away from civilization. But then you won't have the convenient shops, car repairs, gas stations, restaurants etc owned by "annoying" people, who have to receive calls about the shipment and finance and getting orders... Everyone wants to only take what others create and not give the equivalent back, even though they could never have it all on their own.
People NEED separation these days. Have a few dozen years alone, then they'll jump into each-other's embraces loving every annoying bit of another person. And most importantly, appreciating the company and being respectful and trying to not be annoying to not lose the company. People have proven many times they need a serious disaster to become human. Prosperity only ruins them from inside. Prosperity destroyed giant empires. But who am I to judge, I only read some dusty old books, I don't even have a million Instagram subs.

I felt so anxious with all the noise and light at the beginning, but as the light/noise lessened I could feel myself relaxing and by the end I had a warm fuzzy feeling.
