This piece took a lot of experimenting and a lot of attention to detail since Luna is one of the more unique characters from a visual design standpoint. For Luna's outfit, I knew I wanted to go for something night or moon themed (for obvious reasons), as well as something that I thought would fit well with her personality. Eventually I decided to settle on a catsuit with an common astrology-esque pattern, since I though it was perfect for her character, since she's not only a member a royalty who uses magic, upholds a very regal personality and seems to make the usage of magic very seriously. I also paired the catsuit with a hood to give her look a more regal-like flair, and as a reference to the various times we've seen her with a hood on in series.
The post was tricky, and I thought long and hard about how I can resemble regal through dance. This is what I settled with, with smoother movement and a more elegant flair to her movement. While I wish I chould have come up with something more complex, I still think this fits her character well enough. On top of that, I also gave her some of those glowing rave gloves that some people like to wear at this event, to highlight her elegant movements and maybe even put on a lightshow for other ravers. And much like Twilight, I made her use magic to make glowsticks circle around her, displaying her magical capabilities and adding a bit more spectacle to her unique dance style.
