Nice to see you striking out into different literary domains, my friend.
There's always something about fantasy, or fairy tales, or Grimms' stories, etc. etc. that grabs us when we read them or view them later on, as adults. There's a vibration, a turbulence, below the surface, that when we figure out how to overcome our reluctance and look directly at it turns out to be...ta da!...sexual.
Contrary to what some older theorists (like Bruno Bettelheim) argue, I'd argue (as do other more recent critics) that these stories with their not-so-friendly endings weren't written to frighten kids into behaving, but to provide adults with socially approved and sublimated ways to explore socially inappropriate sexual fantasies and cravings.
What this image does so gorgeously well is take this notion one (or maybe more) steps further, making the sublimations overt and extraordinarily erotic and arousing.
I simply love how you do this.
