Born as the youngest of three siblings, Basil was often the last priority of his parents. His older sister and older brother were just so much more impressive! Lily was so talented, able to spin stories from nothing and River was so smart and intelligent. It was no wonder his parents payed more attention to them instead of him. Basil was... not bright, not smart, not remarkable in any way. He was just average really. But he was kind. And sociable and made a lot of friends due to his friendly disposition. His siblings did care for him a lot however. They loved their little, adorable baby brother!

Lily would spin tales for him as they sat on a riverbank- "All flowers have a meaning you know Basil? The blue rose stands for mystery, the impossible, the unattainable and these forget-me-nots, like their name implies, is to always, always remember." Weaving a flower crown with her paws, she set it atop her brother's head. "I think they fit you." she said with a smile. "You'll always remember me right?"

River would tell him random bits of information to him while they spent time together. He talked about how plants grew, why the waters rose and fell, the theory behind many things. He talked about the constellations and all they meant. One day he came home with a sparkling square of material- "Hey, this is for you Basil! It sparkles like the stars in the night sky!" he spoke, wrapping the cloth around the smaller panda's neck and finishing with a small knot.

While his siblings were great and interacted with him when they could, he needed to be careful when he approached his parents. They never approached him first, oh no, too busy fussing over his better siblings. So he needed to be cautious and thorough when he approached them- first make sure what he was going to do was important and then how to approach them.
