Description This was taken on the same trip as my previous two deviations from Godrevy. I really wanted to try B&W in seascapes with out a square format lol, i do eish a had a wind angle lens for this shot as i had to have my tripod kind of half way up a large rock behind me to fit the white rock in the forground in.

Iam quite happy with the result exept i think i could done more with the sky, but im sure to attempt B&W like this again...

Image: Taken and Processed RAW

Development: Photoshop CS2: Curves, Tones, B&W Convertion, Doging and Burning

Location: Godrevy, Cornwall, UK

Camera Info: Nikon D70 | Nikkor 18-70mm DX ED | focal length 18mm | ISO200 | f/22 | 30 secs | Hoya Polarizer + Cokin P121 ND Grad + Cokin P120 ND Grad

Nice contrasty shot. Could perhaps be improved with a bit more detail in the shadows. Looks like there's quite a bit of black clipping.
Really nice composition.

I mean, the histogram is stacked on the black side, meaning a fair portion of the shot it all just one black tone.

Personally, I think that B'n'W is a bad idea on a long exposure, cuz It makes me a strange feeling to want colors there. And that blurry thing -- I think that 'doesn't fit in a B'n'W.

But that's just my personal oppinion You're doin' great, far more that I am

sometimes you cant do anything with a sky that simply isnt there, i think this works well without a strong sky, you found an excellent lead in line that keeps the eye in the fore/middle ground for long enough.
the only critique i have is with your spelling, mind you pot kettle springs to mind...where do you live?

plenty of scenic coves and interesting places around the plymouth area, especially up the tamar. Although you will be on Alex37`s patch then.....Nice pic, great depth and plenty to look at again and again.
