Description Southern Vermilion Cliffs area. The orange flowers are Desert Mallow, also known as Sore Eye Mallow, because if you get the juice in your eyes, it will hurt. The fields were full of them.

Hello I think this is absolutely beautiful. May I have your permission to use it as a reference in a painting?

I drive this road every day to work! I love it when the flowers bloom out here, and this spring was pretty good for them too.

Really! If you drive that road, you live someplace that is truly beautiful. I love it back in there! Thanks so much for the comment.

I didn't try to get any pictures there this spring. We had so little rain, and I was so short of money, that I figured there was no point. Oops! I want to go back and photograph in the Glen Canyon area again when there are princes plume, because I wasn't quite satisfied with the focus on my last shot, and the sky was terrible that day! Maybe I should keep you in mind and find out what things are like there every spring!

I will certainly try to remember to do that, mostly remembering who said it. I don't have any trips planned right now. Too hot, and I may have to do something for my family. It would be fun to meet. I often go to Page. Do you go up there much, or where do you work? By the way, I enjoy going by the merchants on the scenic pullout. I almost always stop and see what they have. It's a beautiful view from there anyway, of the Vermilion Cliffs. In 2005, when I came through, the valley was bright orange from all the desert mallow blooming there. Naturally, I went and took lots of pictures. Some of them are in my gallery. You may have already seen them. That was when I got into Glen Canyon. Let's keep in touch!

That's the way I felt. I had to follow the road. It sure lured me in! I wanted to get to the end of that valley, and the second time I went there, I found it. It's called Glen Canyon, and you'll see pictures of it in my gallery.

The sheer size of the subject is impressive. With higher resolution and a lens for detail, this would make an amazing print.

I scanned that at 300 dpi, so I should be able to offer a reasonable size print when I get around to uploading it.
