Description This is an Apophysis 2.02 rendering that began as a flame parameter file, "Sprite 12", shared by Alison R. in the Apophysis lists. I used the editor window to play around with one of the triangles enlarging it and moving it around, followed by some rotations using the "Rotation Step" script and adding one of my gradients made from one of my earlier fractals. I layered this over a background made in Photoshop using one of the pattern overlays and gradients. The border and signature were also added using Photoshop.
View at full size to see the Fractal details at their best!

EDIT: ''Apophysis Flux Revisited'' This is a rerendered version at a higher resolution, renamed so as to be available a print at this link. [link]

Amazing I could look at this one for hours, it looks biomechanical, like two cells dividing

Thank you! In some ways it reminded me of twisted magnetic and electomagnetic flux lines which is how I came up with the title. I did a lot of playing with the gradients to get the right patterns... The dividing cells is a neat observation, too. I have a couple of my earlier fractals that looked more like dividing cells....I can't remember the title...either mitosis or meiosis or something like that...

Thank you! I had fun playing around with the "Sprite 12" that Alison R. had posted in the Apo Lists. I found a number of interesting images in the process. I should have a couple more images posted this week.

This is really fab! i'm really impressed with the amount of effort you put into presenting your fractals!! It really pays off and they're always so unique!

I guess that's what drives me with my fractals.....I always try to find the ''familiar'' hiding in them. It's what I find fascinating about fractals...one never knows what one can find hiding in them...
