Description
My second contribution to Dean Trippe's awesome SUPERGIRL meme on LiveJournal. Since the current Supergirl's costume looks like a Lolita/stripper costume, I decided to see if the opposite would work, i.e. cover the girl from head to toe.I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, and it still is very flattering to her.
Pen and ink, Photoshop CS2, Wacom. 2 hours.

Bloody awesome. Actually, that's a look that wouldn't be half-bad for Superman too, but I think she pulls it off better. Certainly much better than her currently skanky outfit. Also, I absolutely love her expression. As opposed to the current comic trend of making her look like an underage stripper, your Supergirl looks like a teenager with superpowers who definitely knows and loves that fact. Awesome piece of work.

I like sexy as much as the next person, but I'm so tired of Supergirl being nothing more than wank fodder for guys. She could be a really great character with lots of potential, if they let someone really write her as a strong, young woman.
