Well...I know Samson is being a jerk on purpose, but let's be honest: he is TOTALLY right. I am not saying Ahadi didn't care for Taka, but let's face that he NEVER ever showed it in any single way: he didn't teach him at all and shunned him out after Taka waited patiently during his whole life to be just part of his life, and we all can clearly see the preference he has for Mufasa. I am sorry, but Ahadi HAD to hear it, maybe not from Samson, but someone had to.

Hmm? No. Grampa's party isn't till 23 from what I can tell... I don't actually know cuz apparently no one is seeing fit to TELL ME. Only reason I even know all of them are coming is because the cousin who is mad she can't go; cuz they all wouldn't do it on a day they could; called me and ratted them out. Its supposed to be a surprise... I'm sorry I don't see how 8 people showing up without notice is a good surprise... specially since they all intend to stay here at the house for several days. THAT is not a GOOD surprise damnit.
And technically his birthday isn't even till the 28th but they are all leaving the 25th as far as I know.
Eh... so drawing MAY be discontinued till next month... cuz I can't draw with them around. They are snoopy and annoying whenever I draw and they always think what I enjoy doing is stupid... so I am not even going to try while they are here. Just gonna suck it up and play nice till they leave. They will probably end up watching football the entire time. They always do whenever anyone visits... make me watch that crap too. Maybe I can slip away for a doodle when they are distracted...

Also I think some of what Samson is saying stems from him seeing Taka as abandoned and unwanted like he was. It as if he's getting a chance to finally let out his wrath and frustration out on the ones who did it to him.

... Something tells me that this has the potential to be the point where Taka goes in a different direction than movie Scar, psychologically speaking. Seeing his father and Muffy staring down Samson, and then all but falling apart, all because of him... Not saying it makes the years of neglect okay, but it's bound to put a new perspective on some things.
Might be just enough to make the difference between 'murderous megalomaniac' and 'resentful second son'.

This is some really hardcore emotional manipulation on Samson's part. He's literally guilt-tripping this entire pride into thinking their son is dead, so he can keep him as a pet. Granted, Taka IS a little shit sometimes, but damn, this really drives it home what a heartless SOB Samson is.
I feel so conflicted. This is so well done and maybe I've interpreted it wrong. But still. Damn.
