The past week or so has been difficult, but ironically, I can hardly recall why. I guess I'm stressed out with all the projects that must be done by the end of this month, moving out of the dorm, among other things...Recent problems in my social/private have been rising up again, problems I thought I'd left behind me years ago. Occasionally, I'll feel the intense longing just to be rid of it, and often it causes me to wish for solitude.
The problem with solitude is that it's both comforting and tortuous, depending on it's context. Last night I spent alone, and I felt caged...frustrated...restless...
...yet I really do want to be alone.
Yes, immi is bleeding. Over the past week, I've felt like someone grabbed her by the wings and neck and just began to drag her, and now that the pressure of the dragging is off, I'm now able to take full inventory of just what is injured.
And you know...I haven't been able to escape from this overwhelming stress. I haven't fully gotten the chance to breathe...to tell myself it'll all be okay, because I'm not entirely sure it will be.
But you'll notice immi's expression is peaceful. I'm not panicked...not yet.
I'll spare you the rest of it. Should I mature this? I didn't think that small/subtle of blood deserved a 'violence/gore' warning.

She's half mammal, half bird...on her mammal side she's mostly fox...and on her bird side she's mostly hawk. She has some cat in her too, somewhere. :3

thank you so much~ I needed to do the grass in such a way that she felt planted to the ground, otherwise it gives her a strange floating look, which wasn't what I was going for. :3 I haven't done grass in so long...sometimes it's easy to forget how it goes x'D

I use Photoshop CS4--however, there is very little you can do with that program that you can't do with Photoshop Elements, which is a program I used to use faithfully until I got CS4 for school.

I have Photoshop Elements 7.0, which works pretty well. Though I really wish it had more brush and pen options, though. :/

I adore Elements. Seriously, CS4 isn't really worth the money if what you want to do is drawing. Lots of people want the pen tool and more brush options, but to be honest, you can make any brush you might need...and the pen tool is...rather unintuitive. I personally can't stand the pen tool, and I don't use it if I don't have to. if you have any questions about anything, just ask. :3

If it's any consolation at all, I know quite literally exactly how you feel... Sometimes I get into those moods for seemingly no reason. I find that it goes away if I'm building or shaping something with my hands. There's a sort of peace...
Anyway, I hope this helps some. Beautiful artwork, as usual. I don't think the blood is too much. I actually couldn't tell it was blood until I read the description.
