She DOES make a nice damsel.
Since the clothes don't have a lot of detail to them by design, I can forgive the flat texture of the gag. I think you aped the poses from the movie too closely - the way she's holding her arms, the ropes just look draped on. I DO like the bottom/centre picture, it's a good expression of desperation.
Generally, the biggest problem here is presentation. 30 seconds with any kind of desktop graphics utility would have allowed you to chop the empty space on the side right off.

Play around while sketching and see if you can find the look you like
Pouting is the puppy-dog look, when they look helpless and saying "Please..." With their eyes. The typical damsel-in-distress look
Have you found out what Kaylie looks like? Are you planning on Belle wearing her yellow dress, or normal light-blue and white outfit?

I know what Kayley looks like, I've have Camelot on DVD, for Belle I plan on keeping her in her blue and white dress.
