"I want a brother"
Kay-Tee sighed.
"Bud, you have lots of brothers and sisters, honey"
"They don't like me... they know I'm different, they don't want me being their brother"
Kay-Tee couldn't respond. She knew the rest of the children didn't want to play with Bud. He was silent and kept to himself most of the time, he didn't always follow their games or chats. He was, all in all, the "weird kid"
"I don't mid mom" said Bud with a a gentle smile. He felt the sadness in her mother's eyes. "I know my brother will come, I just have to wait for him!"
Without letting her respond, Bud went away, singing to himself. He believed what he just said without a single doubt. He took a long breath and wandered into de woods. Immersed in his own thoughts, he took a long breath. Today was a warm and beautiful day: the sun was shining and dancing around the tree branches, making shadows that moved all around him. He smiled. "The forest knows and my heart knows I'm going to have a brother"
So with that in mind, he kept walking till he got to his favourite place in the forest: a little pond, covered in water lilies and algae. With a little step he jumped into the water and swam peacefully, enjoying himself in his own company, and wodering how his future brother will be...
