This spawned from a conversation with my sister ~Tissue-Issues (shortly after I bargained with her to get her to crochet me bright orange leg-warmers--ala Lee and Gai--which she STILL HAS YET TO FINISH! *hint hint*). I was saying something about how it would be amusing to cosplay as Lee and use my custom made leg-warmers. But, I thought, where would be the ideal place for the zipper? Along the back? Off the shoulder? Somewhere on the side? Do you even need a zipper?

And then I told her there seemed to be a trend in fanfic/art that it is Neji who, surrounded daily by Gai and Lee in their gleaming spandex jumpsuits, begins to ponder the eternal question: Where heck is that darn zipper? (~Suikka covers this issue nicely [link] Her 'zipper' is a little different, however...) And, on a separate note, there's always something funny/cute about Neji actually IN the costume in order to resolve the zipper issues.

But, we're LeeGaa fans. So Lee gets molested by sand instead. Will Gaara ever get through to Lee?

Much love to the countless fanficcers/fanartists who have pondered over this very wardrobe-malfunction in their work and, by doing so, probably indirectly inspired this comic. Thanks. ^_^
