You got the platform beam from Elecman's stage, right? Getting that pretty early helps out a lot.
Isn't that first Wily stage just genius? I totally love how Megaman 1 has level layout that's seamless and not segmented the way the later megaman games are.

I agree, the first stage is well designed and a lot of fun. The cyclops boss thing at the end is cool. I think Megaman ZX Advent addressed the segmented feel a little.

I also really liked the way they organized the boss rush into one seamless stage with the final battle being the Copy Megaman. It seems so epic to build up to it that way.
Man, I want to play it again now. I used to beat it everyday in anticipation of Megaman 9 coming out ;__;

That was pretty epic, though the in-between parts when you're getting to each boss kind of made it difficult; Needless to say I died several times. Clone Megaman was awesome. XD
