Description (f, nudity, sexually suggestive, peril, Soft-vore)pg16
Big action-page-time fun, prompting yet another apology from Pete the Cartoonist to his readers for misportrayal of a reptile. The 'snake' that lands on Lynn-well, look at its head in the main panel. Not too hard. Never mind the fact that it looks more like a dinosaur than a snake; what kind of snake's head attaches to its' body like that?! The kind on a cane handle, maybe, but other than that...Meanwhile, Nina prepares to goose herself with a cat-tail, and about damn time. Despite the grotesque snake, it's an okay page, the layout works alright for me, still. Lotta Wally Wood-modeled jungle background stuff going on, too, which helped my 'look' a lot. Big panel 3 and little panel 4 are the highlights. Meanwhile, Nina continues to compound the weight on her soul; she's about to be very sorry for carrying the extra pounds, too...

Wally Wood was always one of my very favorite comic artists.

Definitely mine, too. It probably doesn't show, but I learned so much by stealing from him...just the consummate omic book artist.

Oh, I suspect it does show some. I don't think you rip him off, but I have always really liked your style from day one, as it is in the same 'branch' of the tree of comic art.

There's no way I'd blame Wally Wood for influencing how I draw anything mechanical or girl-related. I try to remember his shading and layout tricks, and the way he drew organic subjects; for all the justified hoopla about Wood's rocket ships and weaponry, what dazzled me were his jungles and desert/cave scapes. Especially for me when he was working for black & white publication
