Description Here's an environment I made for a Microsoft game that was eventually canned. Its a shame. The core game design was really solid. Not sure why they pulled the plug on it.

id like to see a more real version of this with it zoomed out looking above the city so u can see way more devastation and no people around, so its gloomy

I'm not really a gamer but I love this concept! I've always thought it would be so cool if ships that were no longer sea-worthy were taken onto land and incorporated into the urban fabric. And it adds a certain irony that it sits in a "sea" of charred automobiles and boulders of broken concrete/asphalt. And the way it's framed by the entrance of a ruined building in the foreground suggests that the picture may be taken from the vantage point of an onlooker, who may very well be spying on them.

Pete, I had a question - when you're working professionally as a concept artist how much work do you put out in a day? I'm just trying to gauge how "fast" is expected of you?

I guess it depends on the client. When I was at Lionhead, there wasn't such a sense of urgency. I might be given two days to create this image. Other clients expect more for their silver, and would expect this level of detail or more in half the time. The latter is especially true when you're freelancing.
