Description
As salty waves march along the mortal shores, the remnants of our lives touch the realm of angels. Azrael takes us back into his house, scooping up the silt of our lives and carrying them to safety. No matter how long we leave him, he'll patiently wait for our return.
Look out to the horizon far enough and you'll see. You are on your way home.

An amazing piece, as always. One can practically feel the dust in the athmosphere, and the calmness in his posture.
It's obvious that Azrael is your preferred angel, since this is the fourth time we get to see him, but somehow you always manage to make him look better every time. Love the horns/aureola, and especially the mythological detail: angels don't touch the ground.

"Abandoned by knights, clerics and lords, the people of the Drowned Village build their own church, ripping apart sunken and stranded ships for materials in their desperation to call to their god, any god, who could release them from the plague known as Undead. However even with the cathedral finished, the candles lit, the prayers sung with weak and fervent voices, no god listened, or if they did they did not answer. So desperate, so filled with terror, were these Drowned Villagers that in the end their prayers began to go out to powers much darker, much more sinister..."
