A few weeks ago one December morning, since half eight in the morning, Ling Ling had been trying to phone up the doctors surgery but after listening to the whole message and pressing the number to get connected, she kept getting a voice message saying cannot connect please try again later. She repeated dialling about 10 times or more getting the same message and getting really frustrated.

About half an hour later she gets through to the receptionist but turn out, there's no appointments left and the receptionist tells her to go A&E (well her mum to). As the receptionist already said point 1. no appointments and point 2. seeing the GP will result in the same as they will most likely refer you to also go A&E because its relating to heart and chest pains. As there is no other options which is annoying, they tend to avoid going there as much as possible. They both hate going there because you to be stuck waiting the whole day being uncomfortable and even more pain there.

So whenever going to the hospital A&E, Ling Ling have to remember to bring all medications including painkillers and a load of snacks and drinks etc, it's like going out to some secluded spot or park where you have to bring your own everything. If you don't bring anything, you spent the whole day being thirsty and hungry as there is no shops around to buy food or drink and whatever essentials you need eg tissues.
Ling Ling have taken her mum to hospital to A&E many times in the past. It's the worse experience ever. Pandemic or non pandemic it's no different, its still many hours of waiting.
