Anellet

Description: White mare with Golden-Orange Mane and Tail; Golden Orange Face markings (same on both sides of face); Golden Eyes
Age: 4 Years
Small Story:
A low whinny was heard across the plains, shattering the peaceful quiet that had lay upon the Amitola Valley. A cloud drifted lazily across the sky, and the white mare lifted her head gracefully, golden eyes flashing in the sun. Summer had arrived only a half-moon ago, but already warm winds blew across the sloping hills of the valley like a gentle wave. Flaring her nostrils, the golden-eyed mare lifted her muzzle to the sky, scenting the air curiously. The tang of her herd coiled its way up Anellet, and with a small snort, the equine sighed. So much for freedom.
Was it bad that all she wanted was to be free, to escape the valley and find a new home? Between the sea and the soaring mountains that bordered the Amitola Valley, there was almost no place that had not yet been explored. It was boring. Another whinny was taken up as atop the hill right of Anellet, a cream-colored mare trotted forward.
“ANELLET!” Anellet winced, laying her ears to her head in embarrassment as a calm wind picked up her forelock. The sound of her mother racing toward the white mare drummed in her eardrums, and, feeling dread leap at her heart, Anellet lifted her head to face Echana. Stepping forward, the white mare pricked her ears, trying not to show fear as the cream mare came before her. Taking a deep breath, Anellet blinked at her mother, eyes shining with anxiety.
“Mother I-”
“Don’t make excuses for what you did! You nearly killed us all with worry!” But already Anellet was backing off, fear replaced by fury, red-hot like dancing coals. Never before had she felt something like this, this rage deep within her soul, clawing to run and be free. For a moment, everything stopped, and with a small buck, Anellet spun around and ran. The wind blew in her race, blowing her forelock from her eyes. The sun beat down upon her strange-marked face, letting the orange-gold marking shine in the light. Behind her, Echana let out an angry whicker, leaping forward towards her daughter. “Young mare, we must speak!”
Anellet wasn’t listening anymore. Only the rushing of the wind in her ears and her hooves upon the ground could be heard to the white mare. Closing her eyes, she let out a high pitched whinny, quickening her pace. One though burned in her mind: I’m going to be free. She didn’t care what anyone thought anymore; all she wanted to do was to run from this place she had been confined to her entire life.
Climbing to the top of a slope, she could see her mother, still trying to catch up to her. Lifting her head, Anellet looked over to right, scanning the hills and mountains that lay before her. Perhaps somewhere, far from here she could find a new life. And maybe, just maybe….
A mate.

It’s finally done!!! This is my entry for ’s contest. Her name is Anellet (Ann-El-Et). We had to make a mate for her char, Shire…and this is what I came up with ^^

Oh, and please ignore the large crease down the middle. Sibblings -_-

Oh, and I rushed the writing, that's why it sucks. (If you read Empire, that's why I take time on it)
