Taken on my way to work on Monday, February 2 - the day that snow brought one of the world's biggest cities to a standstill. Busses were stopped, the tube wasn't running and Heathrow had to shut down.London, February 2009.

you'd think that, wouldn't you? but the tube really only tends to be underground in the city centre - so if there's sow on the tracks outside of the city, it all breaks down. but its a brittle system anyway that breaks down for no good reason...

I guess here in Canada we're so used to snow that they have a quick means of clearing it off the tracks.
