GREAT WORK ! I LOVE it ! It's so true that Morgana is just crazyand a killer now, even though I do feel so sorry for what has happened to Morgana Merlin IS a liar in a sense. He has disappointed so many people who trusted him. I wouldn't be surprised if Mordred is still against him after "betraying" him. I don't know if I'm the only one who noticed it but he has only mentioned that Arthur saved his life. He has not once mentioned anything that Merlin ever did for him, and when he stabbed Morgana, Merlin was still on the floor wounded, but he just took Arthur out, looked back for a moment but did not do any effort to save Merlin. I hoped Morgana and Merlin would get back together but after everything he did to her and seeing how they try to kill each other constantly I doubt this will ever happen. I think Mordred will turn out to betray Arthur. He does so in the legend and I don't think they will change something as fatal as that, since Mordred is the key to the end of the Arthurian legend kind of. I'm not really buying what he told Merlin. Maybe he DOES mean it, but in that case I think Arthur will do something (maybe to someone with magic) which will make Mordred angry, think that Morgana is right and eventually lead to him turning against Arthur. It's just so exciting to see how BBC will handle the legend ^^

Not a problem
Its on of the best pieces Ive seen since the new series started
BTW, what did you think of last nights episode????
And your ida of Mordred as a traitor seems to have sparked a ot of converations, and I agree that I think He will betray Arthur. The premonition by the druid seer showed that he did, but he is just too... evilly to give up magic for Arthurs sake.

Wow, thanks!
Last night's episode was fascinating, but I felt like it was a bit of a "fluff" episode. I'm really just waiting for Merlin to reveal his magic this season, and we were SOO CLOSE yesterday, but no.
To be honest, I'm not sure Mordred will betray Arthur. My guess is that it'll somehow be discovered that Merlin has magic, and Mordred will stand up for him (or possibly the other way around, I'm not sure). I think if Arthur continues to have magic outlawed, Mordred will eventually get tired of it and do something. But I think last night's episode might be the start of the events that will lead to magic no longer being outlawed in Camelot. Maybe.

I cant wait for Merlin to reveal his magic, and the idea of him doing it to stand up for Mordred actually really suits him, though the other way round would be quite interesting too. I have written a fanfiction about the revelation of Merlins magic and that idea would make really good short fanfic... Do you write them??? If not, do you mind me using the idea please??
I really want him to reveal it whilst protecting Arthur in some way because it would fit with the way he has only ever really used magic for that reason...
Gggrrrrrrrrr I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!! We were so close..............
I did get the feeling that the last episode was the beginning of something, Considering Merin showed Uther he had magic, which is rater Ironic, and Camelot seems to be filling with magic and people who know about Merlin, Gaius, Mordred, Uther(though he is dead).....
*GRRRRRR FACE* Just cant wait!!!

I know, I really hope there's a magic reveal soon!
I don't mind if you use the idea. I've got a fic of my own going on another site, but as long as you credit the idea/theory/whatever send me a link if you write it! I'd love to read it!

Nah, FanFiction.net isn't really that organized. I'm primarily on Wattpad at the moment until my ao3 account request gets through. Are you on fanfic.net, or do you use dA?

Shadow-StrikeRaven In reply to PheonixLight [2012-10-26 14:32:59 +0000 UTC]

Fanfiction and dA. I know what you mean about FF, it can be quite 'messy' at times. Never heard of Wattpad, Is it good???

PheonixLight In reply to Shadow-StrikeRaven [2012-10-27 00:51:59 +0000 UTC]

It's okay. it's like a less popular, literature only version of dA. nothing special, but it works for me.

Oh I'm watching season 5 too He has kinda betrayed Morgana, kinda betrayed magic....but he has never committed to either so how can he be a traitor? Now that he is sworn to Arthur he has loyalties he can betray.

PheonixLight In reply to KatQueen77 [2012-10-19 17:12:57 +0000 UTC]

True, but I feel like him turning his back on Morgana was a betrayal on his part. I mean, they were friends for the first couple of seasons. And Morgana is a high priestess of the old religion, so he did kind of turn his back on magic when he decided to save Arthur. It's all a matter of perspective, I suppose XD

KatQueen77 In reply to PheonixLight [2012-10-19 21:22:44 +0000 UTC]

I'm sure she feels betrayed but Morgana has been blaming others for her problems and feeling betrayed and alone for a long time so maybe I've just lost sympathy for her >.< I like the picture you chose for her here. I see it as yes, she's a killer, but it's motivated by fear, like you see in this picture. It's more true to Morgana as a developed character than when she seems to be motivated by power or greed.

He kinda betrayed Morgana by stabbing her in the back...

KatQueen77 In reply to Zebraanimator [2012-10-19 15:35:36 +0000 UTC]

But she just assumed that Mordred was on her side. He never actually promised her anything. I don't remember him saying much at all to her.

I think he seemed like a traitor from the very first time he appeared as a boy ;D

I think though the "traitor" rather might relate to him supporting Arthur instead of magic?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KatQueen77 In reply to Hisagi-Chan [2012-10-18 20:04:05 +0000 UTC]

He could be a traitor in that sense. He has always seemed evil from the beginning, but he never owed Arthur allegiance really before so he wasn't a traitor until he promises a side something, then switches. Maybe his switch to Arthur's side is betraying the magic he grew up with but more likely he will become a traitor to Arthur. Hard to picture Mordred who breaks mirrors and tosses around knights with a thought giving up magic completely.
