I had lots of ideas for this drawing, but had to leave most of them out for realism and the fact that it was going to be too busy, oh well maybe next time.Rather than my usual 50 shades of grey
drawing, I added a teeny tiny bit of colour for the wolf eyes.Drawn on A3 bristol smooth board using h,2b,3b pencils.
Also as an experiment added some snow falling digitally. Not sure if it works or not but can be easily removed if it doesn't I added a border with picasa plus some contrast tweaks here and there.

Maybe its odd doing bleak snowy scenes during summer but mark my words Winter is Coming

I really think this is good. It might have cost a lot, but it is the best ring I've ever seen. It is very detailed and as some call it: "cool." It has inspired me to do lots of things. It must be special and mean a lot to you. It also looks so good I added it to my favorites. I guess that you like birds and wolves too! I wish for you to have a good, happy life. Best wishes to you. Are you sure you're talking about the right drawing? As you mention this wolf as a ring? and that it costs a lot?

Fantastic piece! Great subtle use of color. The only thing I would work on is going darker, and adding more values. Definitely go darker on the wolf. Right now, the crow draws too much of my attention. To make the wolf the focal point, you need to go darker. The eyes definitely help to draw attention to the would, though. And I read the critique -don't worry about being centerer. Centered pieces easily become extremely boring.

Thank you for the fine comment Amy! the wolf is white in the reference I used so tried to keep it lighter, but really didn't achieve a white look so ended up half dark half light

I absolutely love it. It's very realistic, doesn't seem to have any smudges, so it is clean. Wolves are also my favorite animal, so my opinion on this drawing is......................................................OUTSTANDING!!

lol yeah, I wanted to do it as a test to see if i could even make it LOOK like what I wanted. Idk if i sucessed, but I liked how it came out. But I spent an hour on ten trees (at the most) and you have like a million of them XD

Northern lights are a tough thing to draw with pencil. I would say it could be done but would take practice, not sure pencil is the best medium for it. As for the trees well I did them fairly fast but at least Alaskan pines are easier to draw than most trees
