Description
Inspired by observations of a local church, St Maurice and the playful antics of the Jackdaws that live in and around the church grounds. Sometimes they perch on the weather vane itself and this was the chosen focal point for this painting. The whole area is rich with birds of the corvid familiy. There might be a couple of rooks in this painting too..
Its a very old part of town and this vantage point looking at the church was taken from an old castle keep that looks down on the surrounding area.
