One very cold december morning, I went with a student into town looking for pictures. With the wind chill factor at minus 32, our breath threatened to turn solid. It was clumsy trying to focus with our thick gloves and when we ran out of film, loading a new roll had to be done indoors. I tried doing it outside but the low temperature made the film become brittle. It broke many times. I found this picture and thought there were something there. Unconsiously, I have been doing diagonals eversince I arrived here!
