These days, I am quite nostalgic of good old and authentic Star Wars: Episode IV and the famous scene of the Battle of Yavin (Death Star )While the fighters are taking off for the decisive strike, Luke Skywalker taps on his helmet, thinking that he hears the voice of the ghost of Ben Kenobi: "Luke... Trust your feelings..."

you're so right. lucas depended too much on technology in the later versions. so much, that they lacked the heart-felt emotions that was the true reason for the success of the originals, not just the special effects!

This is really my opinion. The first movie he did was a breakthrough in the sense that he did not have the same tech and the lack of references of the genre made him go through a lot of obstacles.

yes i grew up with Star Wars and was totally obsessed with it
still like it now along the lines of other films like Star Trek Battlestar Galatica and so on.

Me too: I was very hooked up to Episodes IV and V during their time. I love BSG too (new series), and some other sci-fi like Blade Runner, Resident Evil, Riddick and of course, Tolkien books.

I understand that G Lucas does not do other SW movie: he keeps on re-editing those that exist already and makes the big big bucks! It's amazing how much money he did with the "special editions" of SW IV - V - VI back in the 90s.
