beginning of May 2006, Saint Petersbourg, Russia.she asked me why i'm photographing this horror... well, that's a good question... actually, i never photograph horror things, there's nothing attractive in ugliness for me. Yes, it's a place of hopelessness, yet there's a beauty within... and that's what attracts...

Really well composed. I like how you've waited for her to almost disappear into the second arch, and how the first arch provides such a solid and imposing (and impersonal) frame.

oh,i want to go there again so much!its not that difficult(i live in Moscow),but i cant do that,dont know why.
u know,i saw SPB in that way ur fotoes can discover,but there is an another sight,also hidden,but i love it.Its the sight of Neverendingness and Sad Joy.dont know how to explain it in some other words,but u cant feel it nowhere,but in SPB..

In literature , we have a thing , aproximately translated as "The esthetics of uglyness" . I believe it's something similar .
This photo , has a message , it makes you think , and this is a beautifull thing .
