Description And we found ourselves adrift at sea, lost and abandoned. So we said, Japan, come back to me. Japan, my beloved. Stay strong. Come back.

I don't need to have relatives in Japan to feel strongly about the terrible catastrophe that has occurred. I don't need to be directly affected to directly donate to a worthwhile cause. I don't need to be Japanese in order to feel grief, worry and compassion for those suffering in Japan now. Overdone, you might say. Everyone says it. True: it is because it is something that needs to be said.

The 8.9 magnitude earthquake was so strong that it has shifted the earth's axis by 9.8 inches. There have been over 125 aftershocks, some of them over 6.0 magnitude. In one state alone, there are over 10,000 people missing. Many towns have been obliterated off the map. Officially, 1,300 people have died but in reality, the deathtoll is thought to be over 10,000. Around 200-300 bodies were found washed up on the beach in Sendai, the city closest to the epicentre. Millions of people right now are struggling to provide basic food and shelter, let alone communication in order to contact their loved ones. Even major companies such as Nissan, Toyota, Honda and Sony have stopped production.

Please don't turn a blind eye. This is important and deserving of both your attention and the kind of compassion that arises in human nature in times of crisis.

I donated here: www.skipamealsavealife.com. You can donate through the Red Cross or other such methods.

aha, no problem, and it's fine! I'm not the one you should feel sorry for.
