Description As I said in my journal, my brother Deimos-Remus and his recent Legend of Zelda Redux project has inspired me to take on a similar project devoted to the original Metroid for the NES. Been developing designs for the past couple months and am finally able to start posting them!

[LOG 01- BRINSTAR]

[60-450 Meters below surface]

Space Pirates have been using the planet Zebes as a base for their operations. The planet's highly impenetrable surface has made the process of finding the base incredibly difficult, however one small access to below the surface was miraculously found. Brinstar is the sublevel of Zebes closest to the surface, and as such it has the most mild conditions. The ground is made of a softer rock while the cave walls and ceilings are incredibly dense. The planet's unexplainable gravity can be attributed to the many rock structures that are suspended in the air. There is evidence of an ancient technologically advanced civilization of some kind scattered throughout the labyrinthine caves and tunnels in the form of monolithic structures, pipes, vents, and idol-like carved stone heads. While most of the environment has been left in its natural state, the Space Pirates have apparently installed bubble-like doorways to separate different corridors and complexes as well as to map out the area. The creatures that live in Brinstar are mostly docile, and are used to living in almost total darkness.

Great Lighting as always buddy! I like how you kept the Pillar things floating instead of making them attach to the wall in the back, It helps emphasize the weird mystical tech look of the Chozo

Ha, what's that? I think I know what missingno is, but I haven't heard of a temple bearing tis name.

Thanks a bunch!

Missingno is that (in)famous glitch Pokemon from Red/Blue/Yellow. The floating rocks just resembled it and it also looked like an ancient temple inside. :3

Ah, gotcha, haha, I see what you mean.

I was trying to depict this part of the game.
